Whenever John McCain utters the word "socialism," you can see him actually sneer. Does he think American workers aren't aware that 7.5% of their wages are deducted each pay period for SOCIAL Security?

His running mate Gov. Palin has expressed a similar disdain for "community organizers."

Perhaps they forget that Jesus himself was a socialist and community organizer.

McCain & Palin should stick with other subjects at which to ply their ignorance and hypocrisy.

For anyone interested in more details of McCain's past that the mainstream media has failed to cover, Phoenix New Times published "Postmodern John McCain: the presidential candidate some Arizonans know — and loathe" in their Aug 05, 2008 issue.

Another excellent and very salient expose of McCain's pal and campaign advisor Phil Gramm appeared in the July/Aug 2008 issue of Mother Jones magazine. This is a must-read for anyone curious about the real cause of the current financial meltdown. Tip: It wasn't Fanny and Freddy, as Sen. McCain would have you believe.

Read it here: http://www.motherjones.com/news/feature/2008/07/foreclosure-phil.html

Quote: "Years before Phil Gramm was a McCain campaign adviser and a lobbyist for a Swiss bank at the center of the housing credit crisis, he pulled a sly maneuver in the Senate that helped create today's subprime meltdown."

Happy reading.
